Waterside Cribbage League AGM 2026/2027
Minutes of The Annual General Meeting held at The Glen on Sunday 26th July 2026
Those present:-

The Chairman opened the meeting at 7.30pm
Agenda:-
1. The Chairman opened the meeting and welcomed all those attending. He thanked Barry Pearce, as Treasurer, for all the work in collecting the monies and arranging the raffle and all the prizes. He also thanked D.Steele for his contributions as the League Secretary, Iain Coombs, as website and competition co-ordinator and the rest of the committee members for their time and efforts during the past season.
2. The Treasurer gave his financial report.
3.The Chairman disbanded the current committee in order to vote in the new Committee.
The Chairman thanked Dave Steele for all his efforts as Secretary since 2018, as he was stepping down.
4. Melvin Orchard agreed to continue as chairman and Barry Pearce agreed to continue as Treasurer.
Kenton Rowbottom was voted in as new secretary. Iain Coombs has agreed to continue as the website co-ordinator, admin for the Facebook group and competition co-ordinator.
5. The following committee members were voted in.
May Smith, Joslyn Steele, Dave Steele and Les Stroud, who all agreed to continue.
Rodney Pike was voted onto the committee.
6. It was agreed League fees remained at £45 per season.
Competitors at £1.00 per person for all K.O. competions.
7. All competion sheets to be returned to Iain no later than mid. October along with all fees.
8. Jubilee Cup to be played between Fawley Royal British Legion and The Forest Home B. The venue was decided by a toss of a coin and The Royal British Legion won and so the match will be at The Royal British Legion, Fawley on September 1st starting at 800.pm.
9.League commences on Tuesday 8th September.

All first rounds of knockout competions will include The Roebuck, The Forest Home and Hythe Club.
Semis and finals to be held at The Glen.
The Glen provides the function room and food F.O.C for these events, so it is only fair we give them as much custom as possible.
10. If there are any disputes arising please refer to your captains. Send disputes to committee for discussion at the next meeting. Anyone is welcome at the committee meetings.
The committee meetings are held last Sunday of the month at The Glen at 7.15pm.
The next committee meeting is on 27th September.
11. Any other business.
The Chairman closed the meeting at 8.00pm.
